Sasha, an excellent student at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is facing a difficult ordeal — serving in the most disadvantaged area of Yugodonsk. He hopes to find his father there, whom he has never seen, a true legend of the criminal investigation department. However, instead of the exemplary hero, Sasha meets his complete opposite, the "Little One." An experienced operative has long established life in the city on the principle of "live by yourself and let others live" — for the sake of his own convenience, the "Little One" turns a blind eye to minor offenses of local residents. Sasha faces an almost impossible task: to solve complicated cases and re-educate his father, a partner who has long been accustomed to solving everything according to his own rules, and not according to protocol.

A small boy of rural Italy, befriends a Catholic priest and pleads for help to save his sick donkey. Hearing the stories of St Frances on how he loved cared, even cured animals, comes up with notion "If he could just bring his donkey to the Vatican in Rome, and ask the Pope if he could just place him in the entombed Saint's Chapel, his spiritual presence would cure him. Some how he convinces the compassionate Father to take on this pilgrimage, against all odds.

A gang of small time crooks, prosecuted by an stubborn police inspector, is unfairly accused of a breaking and entering. After being set free by the inspector's wife, she becomes their boss and starts planning their first big score.
